Does anyone have/know of a label/distro/business that is looking to split a table at Hellfest this year? We (Spook City Records) are, and it looks like the label we were set to split one with is backing out on us. We would split the cost in half as well as each getting one admission ticket. You can check the Hellfest website for prices. If you want to pair up, please email me! nicole@skatterhq.com

Hey, you all! Please check this out when you get a chance. I was working on getting this donation thing together for my website, Salty, when Shawn saw and decided to do the same for Spook City. We'd love to really donate a good amount of money to AFTU, so please check out both websites. Thank you!!!!

10% of sales until the end of February from Spook City Records and Salty are going to benefit Advocates for the Underdog. They are an organization working in Ontario, Canada to fight the breed bans against pit bulls. Also, as a result of the ban, many people are abandoning thier dogs, because of the cost now required to insure them. So, AFTU is also working to get those dogs adopted out to new homes in time.

If you've had your eye on something at either site, now would be an awesome time to pick it up. This is a really awesome organization and they are very greatful for any help they can get.

How could I forget??? Spook City is looking for a new publicity intern!!! Check out the details in the news below. Our last real intern got college credit for her work at Spook City. You could help me promote this community! :)

And also, check out the info for the Death Before Dishonor re-release! It will be out before Christmas and is a must-have.

In fact, get all of your Christmas shopping done this year at spookcityusa.com. If you can't do it there, I bet you didn't know that I had a website, too... ilikeitsalty.com. That will fill in the gaps, since you can't give hardcore merch to grandma... or can you?

The news!
-Spook City is looking for design ideas for our very first label shirts. We've been wanting to do them for a while, but we can't come up with a good idea. If you have some ideas, please email them to info@spookcityusa.com and if your idea is chosen, I'll hook up some really good prizes.

-Spook City Records has signed two new bands: First off is FOLSOM from Las Vegas (www.folsomhlc.cjb.net) and next is LET IT DIE from Detroit (ex- Black Dahlia Murder)(www.letitdie.com). Folsom is a faster, heavier band similiar to Death Before Dishonor. Let It Die have a definite Hatebreed-like sound, with a bit more dance parts. You can hear MP3s at either band's site or at www.spookcityusa.com

-Let It Die has booked studio time in October at Mars Recording Studios in Cleveland (Terror, Ringworm) to start work on their debut full length.

-We recently lost a member of our family. Death Before Dishonor has officially signed to Bridge 9 Records. They will be doing an EP and a full length with B9 and then returning to Spook City for one EP (probably late next year). Death Before Dishonor are in the Outpost Studio (Blood For Blood, Dropkick Murphys) recording for their EP. Until then, you can still pick up their debut full length "True Till Death" on Spook City.

-The limited edition BLOOD FOR BLOOD "Serenity" 12" is out and still available from the Spook City website as well as through the bigger distros (Very, Rev, and Lumberjack). There is limited colors as well as a few hand screened versions floating around. We've already seen them floating around Ebay.

-Repercussion (ex-Shattered Realm) has finished recording and I have the masters in my hands. We are just waiting for Kem (www.kemdesign.net) to finish up the artwork. This CD will go to press in September. Repercussion will be playing a couple CD release parties near Halloween with some VERY big bands. There will be one show in Philadelphia at the First Unitarian Church and another in South Jersey. More will be posted closer to the date.

-Blood In/Blood Out just got off the month long tour with Facedown Record's Bloody Sunday. They are taking time off from playing shows to write material for the next album. This should be recorded in November/December and be ready for a February/March release.

For more up to date news, keep checking out Spook City Records. www.spookcityusa.com
